The association’s goal is to promote the growth of ice hockey and to provide the best possible experience for all participants in New York State by encouraging, developing advancing and administering the sport.
How to Join New York State Amateur Hockey Association
When you join a local association in NYSAHA you also are registering with USA Hockey, the National Governing Body of Ice-Hockey in the United States.
There are many benefits of becoming a member of NYSAHA including a Comprehensive SAFETY Program as well as:
• Official playing rules to keep the game safe and fun
• Commitment to research and education
• USA Hockey SafeSport, an initiative dedicated to off-ice safety, which includes an online education course.
• Screening of all volunteers who have contact with participants under the age of 18.
