What Does a Physical Therapist Do?
Physical therapists (PTs) work to improve a patient’s physical health and conditioning by using techniques such as physical examination, diagnosis, prognosis, physical intervention, rehabilitation, and patient education. It is considered a primary care treatment, offered alongside other medical services, and in some areas, a physical therapist can prescribe mediation. Physical therapists provide hands-on therapy, manage accounting and medical software, and use a variety of medical equipment so a wide array of skills will be employed. All states require a license to practice, and additional specialty certification is also available.

The US Bureau of Labor reports that employment for all fitness instructors is likely to increase by 13% from 2018 through to 2028 as health and weight loss remain high priorities to the American Public.
